Have you ever wanted to make your own silver bangle? Or perhaps make one as a present for a member of your family or a friend?
This fun and friendly workshop is designed for those with little or no previous experience. During the day you will learn the basic skills required to make your very own bangle. Your experienced tutor will guide you from design to creation, with demonstrations and advice offered along the way. Techniques covered will include; saw-piercing, texturing, soldering, and polishing, and you will have the opportunity to practice the techniques in copper first, before moving onto silver.
All tools and equipment are all provided, as are workshop aprons for you to wear during your day. Bringing along a sketchbook/paper and a pen would be helpful and if you already have hand tools such as pliers then you are welcome to bring these too - but please make sure they are clearly labelled!
Enough copper and silver to make a standard bangle is provided. Additional silver and wire will be available to purchase on the day if required. The workshop runs from 10.00am until 4.00pm with a pause for lunch partway through the day, which is also provided.
You will head home with your sparkly handcrafted silver bangle, and a whole load of new skills!
Places on this workshop are limited to 6.
