Printing and Lampshade Making Workshop

We are very excited to be offering this BRAND-NEW workshop; the opportunity to learn the skills and absolute joy of printing your own design onto fabric, to then make into a lampshade!

Join us for this fun-filled workshop and unleash your creativity as you dive into the world of printing. Your skilled tutor will show you how to create your own design, carving your very own block, which you will then use to print with – firstly on paper before then printing on fabric. And don’t worry, there will be a selection of templates to chose from for anyone not looking to create their own design.

Having printed your design onto good quality calico, you will then use this fabric to construct your lampshade, measuring 20cm x 18cm – perfect for a lamp or ceiling shade, maybe in your craft room!

As well as taking away with you your completed lampshade, you will head home with your carved block and the skills to continue printing at home. The workshop will run from 10.00am until 4.00pm, with a pause for a ploughman-style lunch. Your lunch and all the materials to complete your printed lampshade will be provided, as will a workshop apron for you to wear during your day.
