Seascape needle felting Workshop

Fancy a holiday? Join us for this fascinating needle felting workshop and create a beautiful seascape so fabulous you will be able to hear the sea!

This workshop will walk you through the world of needle felting, exploring different techniques. The workshop is a perfect introduction to needle felting for beginners, and also a thoroughly enjoyable day for those with some experience.

Your day will start with a brief introduction to the craft and its many forms. Your experienced tutor will then guide you through the various techniques, sharing invaluable tips along the way. And please don’t worry, you do not need to be artistic, just enthusiastic!

You will be shown how to work with wool fibre, achieving light and dark areas, as well as fine tones and tints of colour. You will also be introduced to ways of creating details within your seascape such as; basic embroidery stitches to create birds, using nuno felted pieces to add texture, and using tencel fibre to create sheen.

This workshop really will provide you with a collection of great skills to complete your seascape, and to go on to creating other work after your time with us.

The workshop will run from 10.00am until 4.00pm, with a pause for a ploughman-style lunch. Lunch and all the materials to create your picture (approximately 21cm x 30cm) and will be provided.

Places on this workshop are limited to 8.
