Join us for this creative workshop and make your very own silver ring – in a day!
This fun and friendly workshop is the perfect opportunity to learn a set of basic silversmithing skills, exploring different texturing and shaping techniques before deciding upon your own design. Your experienced tutor will demonstrate all of the necessary techniques including; saw-piercing, texturing, soldering and polishing. And don’t worry, you practice in copper before progressing to making your silver ring.
This workshop is designed for beginners and will run from 10am until 4pm, with a pause for a ploughmans-style lunch partway through the day, which is provided.
All the materials to make a standard silver ring (3-4mm wide band with design detail) are provided. Additional materials will be available to purchase if required. A workshop apron for you to wear during your day is also provided.
We have run this workshop for many years and it is always a joy to see the beautiful, full polished rings that are made, by beginners, in a day!
Places on this workshop are limited to 6.
