Spoon Carving Workshop

Join us for this rewarding (and surprisingly therapeutic!) workshop and carve your very own spoon.

Your experienced tutor will introduce you to the basics of carving green wood, showing you a variety of techniques and offering top tips along the way.

Using wood responsibly sourced from Herefordshire woodlands, you will learn the safe and efficient way of using straight and crook knives to create your spoon.

At the end of the day, you will head home with your beautifully handcrafted spoon, and the skills required to continue your wood carving journey!

The workshop will run from 10am until 4pm, with a pause partway through the day for a ploughman-style lunch. Your lunch and the materials needed for the day will be provided, as will a workshop apron for you to wear during your day. Tools and additional wood will be available to purchase on the day should you find the craft takes hold of you!
