Leatherwork Workshop

leatherwork workshop

Hand-crafted and well-loved leather accessories are treasures of great beauty. Imagine being able to create your own?

Join us for this wonderful introduction to the world of leatherwork. Your tutor, who specialises in creating hand-stitched bags and accessories using high-quality British materials, will inspire and guide.

During your day you will make two beautiful leather items; a belt (up to 41") and a simple coin purse. You will learn how to; dye and prepare leather, hand stitch using the two needle saddlery method, fit buckles and other fastenings, edge and finish the leather.

It will be a fascinating and informative day, and you will learn a collection of basic skills that will enable you to go onto to apply these techniques to your own projects.

The workshop will run from 10.00am until 4.00pm. All materials and equipment will be provided, including a workshop apron for you to wear during the day. As with all our workshops, there will be a pause for a ploughman-style lunch, which is also provided.

Places on this workshop are limited to 8.
