Secret Belgian Bookbinding Workshop - Sunday 10th January 2021
A beautifully bound book is a book that will be treasured for years. Imagine binding your own?
This workshop is an inspired introduction to secret Belgian binding; an interesting book structure invented by Belgian bookbinder Anne Goy in the mid 1980s.
During your day you will create your own bespoke book using this distinctive binding method. Using beautiful papers to cover your book, and coloured threads to create the patterned stitching that runs on the covers and along the spine, your book will be a work of art.
Your experienced tutor will guide your through the making process. Your finished book could be used as a journal, a notebook or scrapbook to keep your memories safe.
This workshop is suitable for beginners and will run from 10.00am until 4.00pm. All materials and equipment will be provided including a workshop apron for you to wear during the day. There will be a pause for lunch partway through the day, which is also provided.
Places on this workshop are limited to 8.
