Ever fancied making your own silver ring? Perhaps creating one for yourself or as a gift for a friend? Then this is the workshop for you!
This workshop is perfect for beginners. Your experienced tutor will guide you through the stages needed to make your ring, offering demonstrations and advice along the way. Techniques covered will include; saw-piercing, texturing, soldering, and polishing and you will have the opportunity to practice the techniques first in copper, before moving onto silver.
All tools and equipment are provided, as are workshop aprons for you to wear during your day. Bringing along a sketchbook/paper and a pen would be helpful and if you already have hand tools such as pliers then you are welcome to bring these too - but please make sure they are clearly labelled!
Enough copper and silver will be provided for a standard design. Additional silver wire, sheet, and fitment supplies will be available for you to purchase on the day should you need them. The workshop runs from 10.00am until 4.00pm, with a pause for lunch partway through the day – which is also provided.
By the end of the day you will be able to take your completed ring home, fully polished and ready to wear!
Places on this workshop are limited to 6.
Price is per person and includes lunch and materials.
NB. We will be assessing the coronavirus situation on a regular basis. If a workshop has to be postponed, please be reassured that an alternative date will be arranged as soon as possible.
