This workshop is the perfect introduction to the ancient art of basket making and will see you making two items during the day; an attractive platter and a small herb basket.
Making baskets is a fascinating skill to learn and the process can be extremely therapeutic. Your experienced tutor has been making baskets since the early 1990's, preferring to work with unstripped willow, a lot of which she grows herself.
This workshop is a suitable for beginners and also those who have some basket making experience. You will be guided through the making process, learning the various techniques required to make your two pieces.
The workshop will run from 10.00am until 4.00pm, with a pause for lunch partway through the day. All materials and equipment are provided – as are workshop aprons for you to wear during your day.
Places on this workshop are limited to 8.
